Posted on: February 4th, 2012 by James P. Burke

INM – Leibniz Institute for New Materials is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. On this festive occasion, we are showing pictures from the past of the institute. The photos, which are shown on a weekly basis, are taken from our photo and press archive.

This week’s photo is showing …

… the first stage of construction of the institute building on Stuhlsatzenhausweg. The Institute for New Materials was founded as a GmbH (limited liability company) in 1987. The construction was started in January 1988, the topping-out ceremony was held in September 1988, and the completion and handover of the building were in September 1989.
